5 Nigerian Business Blogs That Are Worth Your Time

It almost seems like that there are few authority Nigerian business blogs where one could go and read helpful articles and trends. This is not actually true. I have encountered a few of those blogs, even though they might not be all that popular like entrepreneur.com or inc.com. They still are able to churn out valuable tips and guides for entrepreneurs. Below are a list of my top ten of such blogs. These blogs are run by Nigerians, and they are not actually in any particular order. My choice of these blogs are based a metric – consistency of posts, ranking on search engines, reader’s engagement


Started in 2008 by Jide Ogusannya. He shares tutorials and tips related to blogging, social media, digital marketing, money-making ideas. These are topics that Jide has interest in. It is currently ranked 71, 730 on Alexa.com and gets a monthly traffic of over 50, 0000. I share some of the interesting posts I find here a lot on twitter.


A friend of mine alerted me to this website and I have not been disappointed. I share only a very few of posts here. It prides itself as Africa’s largest online technology publication. Its focus is promoting conversations around technology, mobile and internet in the continent. So if you need news and updates on online or technology startups and events, this is the place to be. Pure African content!


Just as the name sounds, this is one of the very few Nigerian business blogs that shares all kinds of opportunities – from Ecowas grants, to financial times essay competitions, to internship and volunteering jobs with Shell, to study abroad scholarships etc; there are just loads and loads of them. Their team includes Grace Ihejiamaizu, Onyema Kizito, Jude D’genius Ogar, and Zaidat N. Ibrahim

This is the business blog in Nigeria for ideas, trends and insight and it’s owned by Chinedu G. Nwaigene, a real estate expert and tech-developer. Most of the topics discussed here provide valuable insight on how to start a variety of business like consulting business, snail farming, tissue roll manufacturing etc. The blog is currently ranked 124, 796 on Alexa and attract over 10, 000 monthly visitors.
